About Your Hypnotherapy Session

What Should You Expect?

When we work together, you sit in a big comfy chair, and I tell you something like a bedtime story. As we go along with your eyes closed, a trance state develops. And I guide you into powerful state where you can transform quite quickly.

You provide the specifics and how you want your life to look. I provide the engine. Well, it’s your engine, and we get it really rev’d up working for you.

What’s Hypnosis Feel Like?

I often call trance a place of great neutral. Whatever has been affecting you in your life, trance allows you put that BS down for a bit (Belief System). And now that you’re unladen, clients can get positive and uplifting messages directly to their unconscious. They often remark after session about how light they now feel with their “baggage” gone.

Trance itself may not have a specific feeling, so don’t necessarily go looking for one. That being said, it is common for the unconscious to manifest as physical sensations like warmth, great relaxation, or even a pleasant tingling, etc.  And it’s common for people to have incredible life-changing sessions where the unconscious manifests in ways imperceptible to them. You’ll do just fine.

Am I Doing Hypnosis Right?

The best advice is to sit with no expectation. These people get the best results. If you were to have a useful expectation, know that everyone has a unique personality, and they also have many trance pathways. Your recovery is in your discovery.  Orient yourself to experiencing the experience. Do the sorting and analyzing about it later.  Even better, let the unconscious do that for you.

How Many Treatments?

From the very first treatment, most clients experience a profound shift. Sometimes, only one session is needed to fully resolve the issue. Most issues resolve in 1-3 sessions. Other times, we may need more. It depends. Some people need help getting into the groove of trance a few times, and then they make remarkable progress. (Very many are immediate experts at trance). Other people may have a complex issue where we untangle and free them from their weeds and bramble first, and then we build upon that new fresh and secure ground.

One of my more unique skills is in body reading, that is reading the unconscious as it flashes display upon the body. At the end of each session, I double-check to see how the unconscious has transformed during our time together. This is revealed in physiological responses that cannot be faked. In short, I’m looking for your instinct and your self to be transformed at the very start, the very foundation of who you are. I use this data from your unconscious in combination with your conscious report of transforming life experience to gauge your progress.

Wonderfully, all this can be accomplished through story-time and trance while you just recline, relax, and listen.

How Can I Prep for Session?

Honestly, you’ll be just fine. Trance states are easily accessed, and I’ve been at this for decades.

One thing that might help in a general way is to just sit and think some happy thoughts. “Remember a time . . .” I might say. This helps build positive resource states I might access for you at the right moment later. Also, this type of “reverie” can so be so close to some types of trance that there may be some overlap. You’ll have practiced and strengthened in various ways before you even arrive.

Some clients ask if it’s ok if they listened to Youtube hypnosis. It is.
